Richard Roundtree Lot of (4) Personally Owned Framed Wall Decor Pieces - This lot includes (4) wall decor pieces that were personally owned by the late actor Richard Roundtree. The lot includes an original acrylic on wood painting titled "Tree of Life" by Dominique B (9.75 x 12 inches), contemporary photograph of Roundtree's hand holding a cigar (19.5 x 23.5 inches), a photograph of Marilyn Monroe seated on the beach from her final photoshoot ever taken, shortly before her passing (21.5 x 20.5 inches), and a photograph of Chicago Bears star Walter Payton (24 x 19.75 inches). Richard Roundtree was best known for his portrayal of private detective John Shaft in the 1971 film Shaft and four of its sequels. Considered as "the first Black action hero", Roundtree was credited with having an impact on the rise of African American leading actors in Hollywood projects, thanks to his successful performances in the genre. Over his five decades as an actor, he has appeared in some 160 film and television projects, sharing the screen with actors including Clint Eastwood, Peter O'Toole, Laurence Olivier, Samuel L. Jackson, and Brad Pitt, and received numerous awards, such as an MTV Lifetime Achievement Award, a Peabody Award, and a Black Theater Alliance Lifetime Achievement Award.
