2 Meissen 19th Century Porcelains; The Card Lady circa 1880, with a standing 18th Century Style Lady with porcelain lace trim at a small table with playing cards, the base with crossed sword mark in underglaze blue with incised model "F.64." and impressed #44; together with a Jugendstil Art Nouveau Plate molded with branching flowers with gilding on a cobalt blue ground, the base with crossed sword mark in underglaze blue and incised pattern number and impressed number. Height of Card Lady 6 1/4 inches (15.8 cm.). Diameter of plate 8 1/4 inches (21 cm.). NOTE: For The Card Lady impressed #43, see Bonham's London, 5 June 2013, Lot 112. PROVENANCE: From the Central Park West Apartment of a Professional Couple.
Condition
Age related wear to gilding on each, the Card Lady with light wear to enamels and the cards in both hands with small flakes, the head re-stuck; the plate with 2 small flakes to unglazed foot ring.
