spine joint open and separating, edge rubbed, covers scratches here and there, corners worn and bended in.
Foxing to back of endpapers and flyleaf, scattered light foxing there after, no affecting plate images. In fact, chromolithographs are vibrant and sharp.
Vol.1 profusely illustrated throughout with b/w plates and in-text illustrations in reds or blues. Vol.2: 51 plates, each with separate text page(s), tissue guards. 17 of these plates are chromolithographs (vibrant and sharp) , the balance being black and white gravures.br>A beautiful set in need of some TLC.
