A military green fatigue button-up combat shirt composed of a herringbone cotton fabric with a high-notch label, collar. There are two chest flap pockets, metal engraved star buttons at the front, pockets, and wrists. The jacket has an oversized silhouette with cinches at the back hips to shape and bring in the jacket at the hem. There are no tags or sizes present. 

In 1944, at the age of 18, Hefner enlisted in the U.S. Army as an infantry clerk. Although he never appeared on the front lines, Hefner's service included creating cartoon illustrations for Army newspapers such as Fort Pickett News.
