Chinese Ming Dynasty Xuantong Blue and White Porcelain Bowl. Potted in a shallow body, slight deep, thick and bulbous body, with angled cavetto elevated the steep sides upward the flaring mouth rim, raised on a small round slight concave footing. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white color which contrast against blue color, depicted of immortals on the small pavilion surrounded with flaming vapor cumulus clouds. A characteristic heaped and piled effect, the under glaze greyish-blue concentrates in certain areas, bubbling through the surface of the glaze and turning a deep blue-black. This inadvertently gave texture, energy, and shading to the design.The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark, enclosed within blue rings lines. Made in The Years Xuantong Reign Period of The Great Ming Dynasty.
