Featured in this lot is this Don Grifffiths "Unexpected Company" Lithograph circa 1994. Don is proficient in oils as well as watercolors and enjoys painting any and all subjects. Don's travels have taken him to many parts of the world including Africa where he worked on a series of wildlife and historical pieces concerning the Anglo-Zulu War of 1897. The painting depicts an early morning scene of a survey party from Col. McKenzie's 5th Cavalry in Arizona near a waterhole in the vast desert. Two Comanche warriors approach, one gesturing peace toward the approaching sentinel. After all, they all had to share the water. The lithograph is marked with the signature on the bottom right hand corner and is numbered 20/580 and is marked as follows: "Unexpected Company" - 1994 Don Griffiths. All Rights Reserved. The condition of this lithograph is good with some crinkling to the corners but otherwise shows good overall condition. The measurements of this lithograph is 21 1/2" x 36".
