Dallmeyer 3.B "Soft Focus" Lens, c. 1880
J.H. Dallmeyer, London. No. 19716, focal length approx. 11 in., for Waterhouse stops (one with matching number included), height 8 in., front element Ø 8,9 cm, front element with cement defect around the rim, rear element can unscrewed but soft-focus adjustment is immobile, otherwise all optics clean and free of scratches. - Note: An interesting feature is the rotating rear-lens mount, through which the spherical aberration can be influenced and a "soft-focus" effect achieved. - A sought-after portrait lens.
