Item Details
Description
Southeast Asia, Cambodia, Khmer Empire (Angkor culture), ca. 12th to 13th century CE. A collection of leaded-bronze and bronze vessels and a tripodal stand. The larger is a deep bowl with a flat base and slightly flared rim. The smaller vessel is a shallow dish on a concave flared foot. The tripodal legs support the larger vessel perfectly, although it is unclear if they are a pair - since their metal composition is slightly different. The tripod ring is supported by stylized Naga heads (cobra snakes). Size of large bowl: 4.5" Diameter x 2.5" H (11.4 cm x 6.4 cm); on tripod: 5" H (12.7 cm)
