Kataro Shirayamadani (fl. 1887-1912) for Rookwood Pottery (American) Vase, Ca. 1900, H 8.5" Dia. 7" | Offers a painted summer daisy motif on a brown umber ground. This vase was designed by famed Rookwood designer Kataro Shirayamadani (Japanese, fl. 1887-1912, 1921-1948) and is design # 664D with the Rookwood Flame and backwards “R” and “P” signature branding to the underside. Circa 1900. Provenance: Property from a Clarkston, Michigan private collector.
Condition
When viewed under natural light, dense crazing was observed to the exterior.
