Chinese Carved Ochre Marble Sculpture on Teak Plinth. Mid 20th C., H 21.5" W 16.5" | Elaborately carved scene of 18 Luohans and attendants parading to a mountain top Buddhist monastery. Scenes include: elephants, musicians, seated Luohans, and attendants ascending a mountain trail. Provenance: Property from a Wisconsin private collection. Purchased Brunk Auctions, Ashville, NC 5/17/2014 #620 with provenance from a Private Collection in Athens, Georgia.
