This gorgeous set features 26" and 28" blued Krupp marked fluid solid matted rib SxS barrels with twin ivory bead sights on both. Both barrels chambered for 2.75" shells and equipped with ejectors. The 26" is choked improved cylinder and improved cylinder. The 28" barrel is choked improved modified and improved cylinder. Matted ribs are gold inlaid "DANA J TAUBER", one of the most renowned Fox collectors of the 20th century. Top of barrels are engraved "MADE TO ORDER A.H. FOX" and "KRUPP-FLUID-STEEL". There are 3.75" pyramids of well cut scroll at breech ends pierced by gold inlaid lighting bolts. Barrel flats are engraved with serial numbers, grade, gauge information and numbers "1" and "2" gold inlaid with Fox proofs. Bottom of barrels are engraved with Krupp steel information. Each barrel has numbered forearm. Boxlock double scalloped case hardened receiver with automatic safety and gold plated double triggers. Water table is engraved with geometric borders and some scroll. Action is engraved with full coverage of exceptionally well cut, varying sized scroll and floral. Fine scroll surrounds nicely detailed gold inlaid setters on both sides of the action. Bottom of action portrays a pair of gold flushing woodcock in circular vignette. Hinge pin ends are engraved with four squares. Trigger guard also features scroll enhanced by geometric gold wire inlay and gold pheasant. Flushing quail in gold graces top lever pivot. Exceptional work is signed "J.R.Demunck" on trigger plate. Exhibition Turkish Circassian walnut with intricate marbling wood stock and forend. Matched splinter forend with Schnabel ebony tip, fleur de-lis checkering and Anson Deeley release. Exhibition grade Circassian walnut buttstock with English style grip and fleur de-lis wrist checkering and action side panels. Fitted with an engraved skeleton style steel buttplate. Barrels retain 98%+ original condition. Receiver is in 98%+ condition. Shows light handling and assembling marks. Buttstock and forend are in 98% condition with very faint use marks. Possibly unfired. Great bores and mechanics. Case is in excellent condition.
