BIOGRAPHY:
Max Turner was born July 28, 1925 in Omaha, Nebraska and raised near Bingham Canyon, Utah. Growing up in a small mining town, Turner's only insight into cosmopolitan culture was through discarded magazines, but reading things like Cosmo, Good Housekeeping and Red Book served as Turner's first artistic inspiration.Turner knew that he wanted to see the world, and he was able to travel when he joined the U.S. Navy. Eventually, Turner settled in Los Angeles and his love of art and sculpture was able to thrive. Turned owned and operated a silkscreen printing company for 32 years, and later opened his own bronze foundry where he created high-quality bronze sculptures across a spectrum of genres.
