Seven pieces, including pair of heavily potted porcelain dishes richly decorated with auspicious designs of phoenix birds and celestial images in a palette of orange, red, teal and gilt, rising up to a panelled border, blue overglaze marks on the underside (10.25" diameter), a pair of small Kutani porcelain saucers decorated in enamels with cartouches of geese against an iron oxide field, their undersides decorated with cobalt painted running vines (6.5" diameter), a blue and white porcelain dish decorated with cherry blossoms, bamboo and pine boughs (matsu), the underside decorated with cobalt painted running vines (8.5" diameter), a small blue and white porcelain dish decorated with grasses, lotus roots and butterflies within a 'Greek Key' border (6.5" dia.), together with a small footed bowl decorated with fruiting vines, the underside with blue character marks (2.25" high x 4.5" dia.).
