Description
The English wood and Sterling box is made by W.T. Toghill & Co. It bears the following inscriptions: "Captain C. Gulbranson, U.S.N. November and December, 1941. To Mark a memorable voyage and as a small token of our sincere friendship. From British officers aboard U.S.S. Orizaba." One of the metal cigarette cases is from World War I. It is stamped, "K.W." and bears an Austrian Diana head hallmark that indicates a silver content of 90 percent. It is monogrammed, "U.Z." and bears a German inscription. Translation: "Our dear comrade Uli Papa in friendly memory. Wollersdorf, April 6, 1918. The non-officers of the ammunition factory." It weighs 5.35 Troy Ounces. The last item is a cigarette case bearing the inscriptions, "Rendez Vous Seoul Korea 1948" and "XXIV Corps". Overall, the lot looks to be in Good condition, with some Scratches and minor Dents.
