South Asia, India, ca. mid-20th century CE. A pair of cotton textiles embroidered with the traditional shisha or "mirror work." The smaller is comprised of many sari fabrics that have been repurposed into a beautiful toran for hanging above a door or window during festivals or weddings. Indian shisha textiles are eye catching and notable for their vibrant colors and reflective mirror pieces that emulated shimmering jewels. Size of large textile: 82" L x 53" W (208.3 cm x 134.6 cm)

Condition
Slight odor from storage, airing would likely remove any scent. Some losses and chips to mirror inlays. Both are in great condition, some minor fraying to threads.
