Scarce proof before the letters.
Verneau, the printer of the large-sized poster, granted the license to Ecole Estienne for printing this deluxe version before the letters around the turn of the 19th century. Only one other referenced proof was sold by Swann in 2014, but with the printer's mark trimmed... Ecole Estienne was a school dedicated to graphic and printing techniques established in 1887 where lithographers were trained in the 19th century...

Condition: In fair / good condition, with some visible restored tears in the left margin. Some water stains and some visible restored vertical folds on the image and at the edges. Bright and vivid colors otherwise.Backed on linen. Framed.
