Pair of color plate portfolios showing the natives of Mexico and Guatemala: Rostros Nativos del Pueblo Mexicano por Edilberto, 12 color plates in folder, copy number 3 of an unknown limitation, c. 1967, with signed letter from the publisher laid in, 17.5 x 12 inches; WITH Trajes de Guatemala, Tomo I, by Frederick Crocker Jr., 6 color plates in folder, c.1952, 18 x 14 inches. Provenance: from the collection of Cardinal Luigi Raimondi (1912-1975), an Italian prelate of the Catholic Church. He served as prefect of the Vatican's Congregation for the Causes of Saints from his elevation to the cardinalate by Pope Paul VI in 1973 until his death two years later. Raimondi also served as the Apostolic Delegate to the United States from 1967 until his appointment to the Vatican post in Rome.
Condition
Plates in good condition, covers with some light handling and staining. Merchandise will be packed and transported by the purchaser at their own risk and expense.
