Description: A modernist 1940s portrait of a lady by Philadelphia artist Etelka Greenfield. Greenfield was a well-regarded woman artist who exhibited at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and the Woodmere Art Museum. She also exhibited at the Pyramid Club in Philadelphia as she and her husband Albert M. Greenfield were philanthropists actively involved in the local African-American community. Her memorial exhibition was held at the John Wanamaker gallery in Philadelphia.

Mild stretcher impressions to the edge of the canvas. An area at upper left where the canvas is bulging, likely from an object having leaned againd the canvas from behind. Would benefit from a cleaning. Minor expected wear to the frame.
