He studied at the National School of Painting, Sculpture and Engraving “La Esmeralda” and at the Higher Center of Applied Arts in Mexico. Later he traveled to New York where he studied at the Pratt Graphic Art Center. During the 40s he produced works alongside other contemporary artists referred to as the Rupture Generation. He has created an art defined by the force of color and fed back through his graphic work. His work has been exhibited in important spaces in Mexico, the United States, Japan and Spain. He has participated in approximately XNUMX Biennials around the world including Mexico, in which he was awarded the National Prize for Graphic Arts. He was also recognized in Japan with the Stone Bridge award. His mural work is housed in the Workers' University in Strumitça Yugoslavia, and in the then General Directorate of Medical Services in Mexico City.
