After: George Catlin, American (1796 - 1872) Color Stone Lithograph titled "No. 2 / Buffalo Bull, Grazing" subtitled "(From Catlin's NA Indian Collection)" (Catlin's Native American Indian Portfolio, No. 2, published in 1844).This lithograph published by "Day & Haghe Lithrs., to the Queen" -also marked "Catlin Del….on stone by McGahey". Some foxing in the border areas, sun light brown lines at the edge of mat and print, overall good condition. Sight size 18 5/8" x 13 1/2" - total frame size 27" x 20 3/4". Provenance: From the Thomas & Gail Rockwell collection, LaGrangeville NY. Tom is the son of the renowned American artist, Norman Rockwell and the author or many children's books. His late wife Gail, was an artist-illustrator and the daughter of Arthur E. Sudler and Janet Whitson Sudler, both early 20th century artists - she illustrated several of her husband's children's books.
