Peter Rockwell, 1936-2020, NY-VT-Italy, he was a son of Norman Rockwell. Two Bronze sculptures. The first, depicting children playing near bed of sleeping parents including child with dog an another climbing into bed, and signed on banner above headboard "P. Rockwell / Hoc Fecit" - titled on reverse from Newman Galleries "7 A.M. With Canopy" (probably Newman Galleries in Philadelphia PA.). The bronze is mounted on cut stone, probably marble. The base is soiled and needs cleaning and the bronze in very good condition without damage. It measures 9 1/2"W x 10 1/2"D x 5 3/4"H. Sold together with a small wall hanging sculpture of acrobats, not signed but likely the work of Peter Rockwell. It is in good condition and measures 7 1/2"L x 3 7/8"W - the acrobat figures measure 4 1/2"H. Provenance: From the Thomas & Gail Rockwell collection, LaGrangeville NY. Tom is the son of the renowned American artist, Norman Rockwell and the author or many children's books. His late wife Gail, was an artist-illustrator and the daughter of Arthur E. Sudler and Janet Whitson Sudler, both early 20th century artists - she illustrated several of her husband's children's books.
