Description
Black Americana bronze inkwell holder with a face of African American boy known as Johnny Griffin, circa 1920, with 2 glass inkwells. Unsure where the name "Johnny Griffin" originated, though used very liberally on the internet for this figure, but appears to be after a portrait painting by William Aiken Walker titled "Boy With A Torn Jacket", 1890. Measures 8 1/4" x 8 1/4". Missing pen holder, otherwise very good condition.
