A time capsule of an education account belonging to James M. Harrington of Coventry and or Bennington Rhode Island covering 3 years of schooling and his education from 1831 to 1834. Each page is fascinating using different examples of everyday life with math formulas like the rule of threes and practicing his writing skills. For example he uses military regiments and soldiers for use of broadcloth math or miles traversed to other states and wine and food grain or rye measurements. It is missing a page near the end, however before and after pages are blank and it appears to have made that way not a cut out. The condition of this ephemera item is fine and has a heavy cardboard like paper cover bound with string. Measures 12-1/2" x 8".
