Description
§ AN EARLY VICTORIAN SILVER TEAPOT
by Benjamin Smith III, London 1839, also inscribed B. Smith, Duke St, Linn. Inn Fields, of compressed form, applied in relief with fruiting branches and a mirror-cypher, with ivory insulators. 27cm long, 27 troy ounces gross
With non-transferable standard ivory exemption declaration number 7GRCBT9J
The marks are beautifully struck and spaced on the underside. The lid is slightly loose in the hinge but closes well and sits well. The bottom insulator to the handle appears deficient. The handle is firm in the sockets, however. In generally very good condition commensurate with age. Of great quality.
