Number upper right (195) Notation on the reverse of the framed piece states "(Hector) Giacomelli Collection Catalogue Raffet by Giacomelli." Wood framed and glazed. 5.5lbs Giacomelli, a French watercolorist, engraver and illustrator, is best known for his paintings of birds. While in Paris, he developed a passion for the work of Auguste Raffet, whose catalogue of works he published in 1862. Approx.
