2-pc holly printed cotton organdy day dress c/o basque bodice w/ bobbin lace trim to bishop collar, cuff, pockets & triple tiered ruffled skirt, c. 1880, bodice B 34”, L 28”, skirt W 28”, L 40”, (discoloration, missing most buttons, few torn buttonholes, few pulls & small holes, wear to Wband) fair; 1 resist printed purple at-home dress w/ high shirt collar, yoke ruffle, fitted front W band & Aesthetic movement watteau pleat at CB controlled w/ tab over back W, c. 1900, B 34”, W 28”, L 54”, (light discoloration esp. CF bodice, stains up to 2” right hem, 0.25” mend right SH, few scattered tiny holes) good. Deaccessioned by the Valentine Museum to benefit collections care, preservation and future acquisitions.
