Henrietta Dunn Mears (Massachusetts, Minnesota, California, Wisconsin, 1877 - 1970)
A painter and etcher, Henrietta Mears was active in St. Paul, Minnesota, and Provincetown, Massachusetts. She was born in 1877 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and studied at the Art Students League in New York City with Charles Hawthorne and Eric Pape.
She was a member of bi-coastal art associations, the Provincetown Art Association, West Coast Arts, and Berkeley League of Fine Arts. She earned prizes for work exhibited at the Minnesota State Fair in 1927, the St. Paul Institute in 1930, and in 1917, she had a solo exhibition at the Copley Gallery in Boston.
