Description
East Asia, China, Ming Dynasty, ca. 1368 to 1644 CE. A mold-cast bronze plaque depicting Buddha seated atop a lotus flower throne with a nimbus behind his head. Buddha holds a goblet or another religious implement in his left hand while his right is cupped beneath, and he sports flowing robes and lengthy earlobes. Size: 1.625" W x 2.8" H (4.1 cm x 7.1 cm)
