Two Battersea enamel snuff/ trinket boxes, English, late 18th/ early 19th C., both rectangular form and decorated with figures in classical landscapes, details include: larger with three small figures and sheep by winding river, Roman type ruins in background, white enamel sides with floral decoration, numerous hairlines and age cracks along with loss to enamel at most corners, 3" l.; smaller with shepherdess and flute player seated in countryside with sheep, pink ground throughout decorated with floral decoration, a few very minor hairlines and minor rubbing of finish to high areas and corners, 3" l.
