Description
**Originally Listed At $200**

Western Europe, Italy, ca. 19th century CE. A forged-iron blade with a sharpened edge opposite a thick spine. One petite section of the blade is inlaid with a copper decoration that suggests this was at one time adorned with a greater volume of copper. The thick tang would have been inserted into a handle made of either wood or bone to facilitate its grip and overall use. Size: 11.8" L x 0.7" W (30 cm x 1.8 cm)

Provenance: ex-estate of Eldert Bontekoe, Pegasi Numismatics, Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA, acquired before 2000
