**First Time At Auction**

Pre-Columbian, Colombia, Narino culture, ca. 1250 to 1500 CE. A hand-built pottery bowl featuring stone-burnished surfaces and a squat foot underneath. The dark exterior surface is decorated with negative-resist linear motifs that course around the exterior rim and upper body. Size: 6.9" Diameter x 4.375" H (17.5 cm x 11.1 cm)

Provenance: private southwestern Pennsylvania, USA collection, acquired in November 1988; ex-Fublo Hernandez collection, Colombia

Condition
Chips along rim and upper walls as shown, with light fading to pigment, and minor earthen deposits, otherwise in nice condition. Great preservation to linear motifs along exterior surfaces.
