Near East / Central Asia, Turkey, Islamic Culture, ca. 1631 CE. A single double sided paper folio from a Qur'an manuscript, the verses handwritten primarily in rounded Naskhi script with several lines of large / bolded Muhaqqaq script, and the margin features a shamsah (medallion). The page is professionally framed with an open back to view the page verso. A paper label and plaque indicate this page is from the Qu'ran and the scribe's name, "Al Touni." Size of page: 9.5" L x 7.5" W (24.1 cm x 19 cm); frame: 15" L x 12.75" W (38.1 cm x 32.4 cm)

Tear along inked border and margin extending nearly vertically from both edges. Some old repairs with tape to lower corners. Professionally mounted in a frame with an open verso to view both sides. Staining and foxing to page.
