Description
Native American, southwest United States, Jemez Pueblo, ca. late 20th century CE. A handmade pottery jar signed "M.S. Toya / Jemez" on the base, intricately painted with black, white, and orange geometric motifs. The piece was coiled then smoothed and slipped in the distinctive red-orange color and overpainted before firing. Size: 5.25" Diameter x 5.25" H (13.3 cm x 13.3 cm)
