TURLINGTON'S BALSAM OF LIFE PATENT MEDICINE BOTTLES, LOT OF FOUR, various shades of aqua and one sun-colored amethyst, instantly recognizable coffin- or violin-shaped bodies with embossings front and back and some at sides, mentioning Turlington's Balsam of Life, "BY THE KING'S PATENT", and other variations including the misspelling "BALSOM", inwardly rolled or applied/tooled ring mouths, three smooth based with one of which has base embossing "C. G. W.", and one with blowpipe pontil scar. Mid to late 19th century. 2 3/4" HOA.

Collection of the late Al and Billy Steidel, Alexandria, VA.

Condition

Excellent condition overall, three undamaged but two of these with moderate ground stain/sickness; pontil example with a minute base flake.
