Description
Very rare doucai polychrome enamel kendi with phoenix motif and mammiform spout.
Height 161mm, 6-1/3"inches
Extra info regarding: 1. Death bubbles, item less than 100 years may not show any death bubbles, the process is by replacing the trapped air with soil, so usually, the higher the color intensity, the older the item. 2. Calcification in the glaze, item less than +/-200 years may not show any sign of calcification. 3. it even need much longer years for item to show splitted crackles. Condition
Excellent condition without any chip or repair. High calcification on the glaze. Swirled iron brown base. According to previous owner, it was collected in the early 80s from sea wreck west of Sulawesi island.
