An antique 19th century watercolor painting entitled Coastal Landscape by Mary Josephine Walters. The drawing depicts a serene day on the shore with sailboats on the water in the distance. Matted and framed. In the center below there is a plaque with the title of the work and the name of the artist. Mary Josephine Walters, 1837 to 1883 also known as Josephine Walters or M.J. Walters was part of the 19th century American landscape painting movement known as the Hudson River School. She studied under Asher Durand and specialized in oil and watercolor painting. American Fine Art, Wall Decor Antiques And Collectibles.
