Description
Chinese turquoise fahua glazed biscuit figure of the Daoist deity Zhenwu and his attendants, the personification of the North depicted seated on a throne with a snake and tortoise at his feet, flanked by two attendants, this deity was venerated during the Ming period as a protector of the Empire and the Imperial family, apparently unmarked.
