Item Details

Description

Sons Rustic Vases c.1875, 14", one modelled as an open tree trunk forming the flower holder surmounted by a peacock, a dog peering up from a grassy mound all upon an oval pedestal base, the other, ferns and bracken forming the flower holder with a peacock perched above, a hare peering up from a grassy ground all upon an oval pedestal base. This pair of vases were exhibited in Majolica Mania, Bard Graduate Center, New York, 24 September 2021-2 January 2022, Walters Art Museum, 27 February 2022-7 August 2022.
