Item Details

Description

In their catalog, Straus had an option to order an "extra heavy" blank on certain pieces - this bowl in their Peerless design is one of those massive, heavy pieces with this distinction. The blank is an inch thick and weighs 13.5 pounds! Somehow this piece remains all it's clarity and the Peerless design elegantly drapes itself on the exterior with large, swirling tusks and deep Persian cutting. The blank is so thick and cutting so deep that the Persian has little knobs of hobstars that you and actually grab between your finger tips. Unbelievable quality and rare extra heavy blank.

Perfect condition - 11 1/4", 5" tall, 1" thick and 13.5 pounds!
