Description
c. 1810-1830, all clear glass, probably New England Glass Works or South Boston Flint Glass Works---1. Pair of oblong open salts, diamond diapering to sides and fan ends, each with inverted star base; approx. 3 1/2" x 2 1/4", 1 3/4"H; each with scattered chips to rim, one with chip to a corner of base on the bottom---2. Oblong octagonal form with diamond diapering to sides and ends divided by corner ribs, ray base; 3 1/4" x 2 1/4", 1 5/8"H; scattered small chips to edges of rim---3. Pair of rectangular form open salts with rounded corners, vertical ribs on sides with horizontal ribs at corners, ends with chevron-like ribs, waffle-like pattern on base; approx. 3 1/4" x 2 1/4", 1 3/4"H; each with scattered chips to rim, one with 1 1/8"L gouge to one side and crack at rim on other side---4. Rectangular with all-over diamond pattern, base with inverted diamond pattern; 3" x 2 1/8", 1 3/4"H; chip to one corner of rim, other scattered flea bites to rim---5. Rectangular form with rounded corners and serrated rim, diamond and ribbed pattern, ray base; 3" x 2 1/4", 1 3/4"H; scattered chips to rim (Inv. 16-25a&b, 16-22, 16-23, 16-24a&b, 17-37)
