Description
Near East, Persia, Safavid dynasty, ca. 18th century CE. A beautiful pottery jar of squat form with a flared foot, convex walls, and a brass rim. White glaze envelops the interior of the vessel, while the exterior features polka dot, lattice, and lozenge motifs all delineated in hues of black, ultramarine, and aubergine. Size: 7" W x 4.4" H (17.8 cm x 11.2 cm)
