Featured in this lot is this original finely tight woven Navajo third phases chief's blanket circa 1970's. The rug features a wonderfully and professionally crafted wool construction with a beautiful decoration with an example of central medallions and a banded design and shows coloration of white, red, blue and yellow. The rug shows an extrodinary high craftsman all natural dyed finish with very tight hand woven 100% wool and was very likely a show winner when it was crafted by the Navajo master weaver in the 1970's. The condition of this Navajo rug is good with no obvious signs of damage and shows good overall condition. The measurements of this rug is 45" x 28 1/2". The thread count is 276 threads per square inch.
