Our Consignor has called this a Sunreal. We have never seen any design like this, even in books. We believe it would have been worn as a belt buckle or a pendant that would have hung from some type of wrapped cord. It is around 3" in diameter, and we have not been able to find anything like this in this shape either. The composition is bronze with the possibility of some iron. It is not magnetic, but there are possible signs of rust. Some really detailed work on this piece!
