Elisabeth Frink (British, 1930-1993)
Dame Elisabeth Frink was an English sculptor and printmaker. Her obituary in the ‘Times’ noted the three essential themes in her work as “the nature of man, the ‘horseness’ of horses, and the divine in human form.” Frink’s early drawings have a powerful apocalyptic nature: themes include wounded animals and falling men.
