For your consideration is a nice example of a Republic Period Chinese famille rose baluster vase. The vase depicts two female figures surrounded by a lush garden and feeding a bird. Overall the decoration of the vase shows skill and an attention to detail to be noted. The vase is flanked by two foo dog mask and ring 'handles' and a poem en verso. The underside of the vase is stamped with a red 4-character mark in frame circa 1920.
