Description

British Victorian-era police tunic, heavy navy blue wool construction with a single vent in the rear, eight police buttons affixed to the front (some unmatched), with chromed numbers '62' affixed to each collar, presumably the station of precinct number. The top of the collar is significantly worn, as are the buttonholes, all from use. Sold with a photo postcard of a policeman of the period wearing an identical tunic.
