He then gives advice to his friend for a stay in Jersey: 'Guernsey is pretty, and hardly any French people and walkers or visitors, this island would please you more. French is also spoken everywhere and all currencies are accepted...in Guernsey we had an apartment in the street where Victor Hugo lived, a little higher up.
