01.03.24: In my opinion regarding LOT 1556: I note that both columns and the accompanying stone bases are intact and structurally sound, the wood exhibits inherent tonal and textural variations, including groove channels and naturally occurring knots, the carvings below the Corinthian capital are legible with smooth contours, I observe small losses near splits to both columns, and typical surface wear such as rubs, abrasions, and scuffs, the stone exhibits comparable surface wear as well as old losses/ erosion
