A sought-after etching with gold dust on paper titled "Return O' Shulamite" from "Song of Songs" series by Salvador Dali. Hand signed in pencil on the bottom right with an annotation of E.A. on the bottom left. Published in 1971. Printed by David and Jacomet, New York. Published by Leon Amiel, New York. Religious iconography themes are a common subject in Dali's artworks. This etching showcases two ethereal nudes and the verse that inspired the artwork is, "Return, return, O Shulamite; return, return, that we may look upon thee: what will yee see in the Shulamite? As it were the company of two armies" (Song of Solomon 6:13). From a private collection. Dimensions: 30.25"h x 23.25"w x 1.25"d (framed). In very good vintage condition. Salvador Dali (1904-1989) was a Spanish painter who was one of the most influential and celebrated artists of the 20th century.
