Per the gallery, on the reverse side is a handwritten notice of authenticity by the artist's widow, Mrs. Salley Avery. Avery was known for his fauvist inspired painting that explored creative color compositions. This watercolor is an exquisite example of Milton Avery's signature style showcasing both figurative and landscape subjects.
